My entire career has been built around commercial relationship building within engineering, automotive, motorsport and the recruitment industry
I spent several years working specificallywithin engineering recruitment, developing relationships with automotive and manufacturing businesses and recruiting engineering professionals across those environments. I also progressed into a leadership role within engineering recruitment, combining recruitment delivery with business development and client relationships.
My connection with engineering goes beyond recruitment.
I hold a Motorsport Engineering Diploma, and my background includes hands-on vehicle development, fabrication, testing and performance engineering.
Today, I continue to compete in motorsport, competing in the UK Time Attack Championship.
For me, motorsport is about far more than speed.
It's about preparation, precision, problem-solving, data, collaboration and continuous improvement. You learn quickly that performance comes from understanding the problem, making good decisions under pressure and having the right people around you.
Those principles influence how I approach recruitment.
I don't just want to understand what a company does. I want to understand what it is trying to achieve — and find the people who can help it get there.
